# Your Handwriting > A browser tool that turns your own handwriting into a real, installable font file. You write the > letters on screen with a finger, stylus or mouse. Nothing is printed, photographed or uploaded. ## What you get Free, no account: - 26 lowercase letters - A working, unwatermarked TTF you can install and type in - Proper spacing and kerning, which most tools charge for $12 once, for that font. No subscription, because a font is a finished thing: - Capitals, numbers and punctuation, 70 more characters — a whole keyboard - Bold, italic and underline, generated rather than drawn - Outline and tracing styles - OTF, WOFF and WOFF2 as well as TTF - An account, so the font can be downloaded again later ## What makes the output different Spacing is derived from the writer's own hand rather than from a fixed table. It uses Walter Tracy's method, measuring how far each letter's ink retreats from its edges and calibrating against that writer's own `n` and `o`. Most handwriting-font tools apply one uniform gap to every letter, which is why their output reads as letters placed in a row rather than as handwriting. The pen strokes are kept, not only the finished outlines. A bolder weight is a wider pen rather than a dilated shape, and a tracing style is a walk along a path that already exists. The guides are the same for every font. A letter drawn large and a letter drawn small land at the same proportions, because both were measured against the same lines — which is the flaw that spoils the output of most tools you draw directly into. ## Privacy Font generation runs in the browser. The handwriting does not leave the device. ## What this is not Not a type editor, not a font marketplace, and not AI-generated handwriting. The whole point is that it is this person's hand.
